Food is ammunition for human body; no one can sustain without it. In earlier times people live a healthy life even in old age. Food was plain and healthy, nutrients was impeccable for body system. But in today’s modern world more focus is kept on ready-made products. That contains additives, preservatives, screen, artificial flavor and food colors to enhance the taste and life of eatables. No doubt people love to eat these commodities and they are good in taste. But it’s after effects are not known to anyone. A very sweet, thick, creamy drink becomes a disease when it penetrates stomach.
Preservatives
preservatives clearly imply that it means something that is used to store a product for a longer time. Almost all the market food products from candy, chocolate, snacks, biscuits, custard, jellies, milk, pastas etc. enclose food preservatives to store them for years. It is simply understandable that how a food remain fresh for years? If it lives fresh then all its nutritional value is vanished. Pure milk gets stale quickly, if it is not boiled on time. But packed milk packs are fresh even at room temperature. If the meal doesn’t contain any healthful ingredient then it is useless to eat it.
Artificial flavors
every fruit juice, jellies, custard, soft drink, bubble and ice-cream accommodate artificial flavors of fruits and mentions their benefits in commercials and packaging. Flavors give delicious effect like what’s more good if we drink a mango juice in winter. These artificial essences are only delighting for tongue not for health as it causes cancers, respiratory disorder and double vision as well.
Food colors
it is considered as a need for items sold because people firstly captivate towards the enchanting colors that are added to make it appealing. Some candies contain colors that leave its remnants in mouth and kids love their colored tongue. This is the most awful thing because very strong coloring agents are added that can destruct lungs and may result in mouth ulcers. People prefer more colorful and decorative foods like custard, desserts are filled with colors. But our innocent nation doesn’t know that they are just splendid in looks otherwise they are killing.
Screen
it is a chemical that is used for making eatables sweet. One spoon of screen is able to make liters of water luscious. This tells its catastrophic power. Every seller of gola ganda, chaat, kulfi, gol gappy and cotton candy is filling their products with it. People relish eating all these things but they don’t know that t contain carcinogens that causes cancer. Grocers add screen in fruits through injections to make it sweeter. All these chemical filled items are part of our daily routine in one way or the other. There is no one who informs about bad impacts of these items.
All these cuisine products satisfy hunger and taste but they constitute health issues and dangerous ailments. Food colors and preservatives are harmful for pregnant women and reproductive system. So if there usage is diminished then we can make a healthy nation and makes the resistance power of our youth strong towards diseases.
